One of the challenges of this production was making a clear distinction between the characters as narrators and the characters as an integral member of a scene. I used spot lights on the narrators to make an obvious distinction between them and the characters the same actor was playing within the play. The lighting of each individual scene was naturalistic. The spotlights helped isolate the narrators outside of the world of the play and enabled them to be the common thread between each scene.
